We are big fans of the Lijit guys over in Colorado. Thats why, this version of the BlueOrganizer features awesome integration with Lijit personal search engine.
Lijit - the web through the eyes of a person
In case you missed Lijit (how?!) it is a revolutionary way to search the web through people.
Each one of us, as we create content, in a way, create Search Engine. For example, when I bookmark stuff to del.icio.us or blog about topics or even post photos to Flickr, I create a personal view of the web content. When you want to search for “semantic web”, for example, and think that I know a thing or two about that, you can search “me” or my content, instead of searching the whole web.
Not only that, you can actually search my network - people who are my friends and neighbors based on our content. So much like the SmartSearch creates a vertical search engine for a vertical like books or music, Lijit is a vertical search for different kind of vertical - a person and his friends and neighbors. The results are very interesting, unique and useful.
Getting Lijit is really easy - it is a search widget that you can install on your blog. You declare your web presence and the rest is just magic - people search and get results based on your web content.
Using Lijit from BlueOrganizer
If you are a fan of Lijit, you are in for a treat, because BlueOrganizer makes it really easy to use it on any page that has Lijit widget installed.
For example, lets say you are on Brad Feld’s blog and you are reading his recent post about Lisa Loeb and Wikipedia and you want to know what else he has written about childhood. Simply highlight the word childhood on the page and then choose Links by bfeld on Lijit from the context menu.

This works because Brad has Ljit widget in his sidebar. BlueOrganizer detects that automatically and offers contextually relevant shortcut. The result? Instant search on Lijit as shown below:

So now if you are ready any post on a blog that has Lijit widget, you no longer need to copy the text, scroll up, then paste the text and then search. You can do this much simpler, in place, using context sensitive menu.
BlueOrganizer Indigo is full of these little productivity gems. Stay tuned for more as we deliver them to you in the coming weeks!

Alex, Great integration! BlueOrganizer is awesome, you guys have an insane release schedule. Good luck.
Awwww! Alex you’re writing one of my future posts! Seriously though, this is just another one of the many reasons I love Indigo. You guys are hooking all these things together and making my decisions about some of them a no-brainer( like Ligit and Twitter).
Integration of all these verticals almost starts creating a horizontal, doesn’t it?
