Live from San Francisco: The New Wine SmartLinks

by Alex on July 26, 2007 · 2 comments

Being in California it is difficult not to think about wine. I am a big fan of wine, but the ones from California are my favorites. Cabs and Pinot make me happy on Friday, Saturday and lets face it, sometimes on Tuesday nights.

There has been some interesting developments for wine online. Three new sites came up fairly recently: Cork’d is the web 2.0 style online community, Snooth is web 2.0 style wine reviews and probably the most interesting site - Wine Library TV.

The Wine Library TV host, Gary Vay-ner-chuk (as he likes to say himself), is an off beat, passionate, at times crazy, but always honest and very knowledgeable host makes the show special. Here is the latest episode so that you can get a feel for it:

Okay, you see what’s going on then. We could not pass the opportunity to upgrade SmartLinks and BlueOrganizer to include the links to these great sites. Here is the new wine SmartLink :

Note a couple of things. First, we factored out the Share This Wine into a separate section. This section allows you to bookmark this wine using your favorite service. We are planning to do the same with other categories. Also, we have added tag searches to help you find wine with similar taste. For example, in the picture about you can search for backberry wines on Wine.com and Corkd (give it a try!).

Enjoy the new wine SmartLinks, let us know how do you like them, what else you’d want to see and if you need help setting them up on your blog please contact us.
