Little Children did not win the best film at Oscars, but it is certainly one of the best movies to come out in 2006. To me this movie felt like American Beauty 2, certainly based on the content, although the execution was not as flawless. Like any great movie Little Children is simple, yet explicit and shocking. Once you are done watching it, you will be replaying scenes and realize a deeper meaning and the interconnectedness of the characters. If you end up renting it, think about the role of narrator in this movie, it is more important than it seems at first.
