Thievery Corporation is working on a new album this summer, to be released in early 2008. Their existing albums include Shadows of Ourselves, The Mirror Conspiracy, The Richest Man in Babylon , and their latest, The Cosmic Game. This Washington D.C. based duo has tampered with an extensive array of genres and styles, mixing a little bit of electric with rock, soft acoustics, and modern psychedelic sounds. The duo, Rob Garza and Eric Hilton both grew up in the suburbs of D.C., drawing inspiration from legends Henry Mancini, Johnny Cash, The Beatles, Specials and Style Council. Thievery Corporation is playing one gig this summer at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD on Saturday, June 23.
