We will be busy with travel and presentations over the next few weeks, visiting different cities and attending several great events. Take a look at what we have planned and give us a shout if you want to meet!

May 6 - 8: Karen, Fraser and Alex will be in Seattle.

On May 6 at 6:30 p.m. we will be doing a presentation about Glue and deep dive on our Semantic Technologies at the offices of our friends at Evri.com.

If you are in Seattle and want to come by, please @alexiskold to get the address. On May 7th we will be attending Seattle 2.0 Awards - a celebration of Seattle local startups. Needless to say ( pun intended! ) we are really looking forward to this event.

We are also going to talk to the Amazing (another pun :) Amazon Web Services team. We are looking forward to talking to showing them our architecture - (almost) entirely powered by AWS and learning about enhancements and the new services they have planned.

Also while in Seattle, are are looking forward to meeting Nathan Kaiser from nPost and Marcelo Calbucci from Seattle 2.0 blog. And last, but not least we will be meeting with MSFT team to show them the preview of Glue for Internet Explorer.

May 11: Alex will be giving a talk about the Danger of Free at Free Summit in San Francisco.

This is a unique and exciting event, which will be focused on discussing Freeconomics. Here is the agenda, including the keynote by Chris Anderson.

May 12 - 13: Karen and Alex will be attending The Glue conference in Denver.

Ironically, Glue conference is NOT about http://getglue.com. The brilliant minds of Eric Norlin, Seth Levine and Phil Becker conceived of the idea about the same time that we decided to create GetGlue. From the description:

Glue is the only conference devoted solely to solving the web application integration problem-set… Glue is about all of bits and pieces, APIs and meta-data, standards and connectors that will help us to glue together the varying applications of the new platform.

The agenda looks absolutely fantastic. And if you are interested in learning more about Clouds Database come to Alex’s Cloud Database Standards panel on Wed at 10:30.

May 13: Andy will be giving a talk at the Semantic Web Meetup in DC

We had a blast talking about Glue and our Semantic Technology stack at NYC Semantic Web meetup a few weeks ago. Now Andy is going to give a talk to the peer Semantic Web community in Washington D.C. If you are in the area, please sign up and come to the Andy’s talk. And yes, he will have the I love Glue swag ;)

May 19-20: Karen and Alex will be participating in Web 3.0 Conference in New York

We are not sure what Web 3.0 means, but we do know that this conference is featuring a lot of very interesting speakers. The opening keynote is by Tom Tague, who leads the Open Calais initiative at Reuters. Tom is one of those rare people who can truly bridge the gap between tech and business. In addition, he is a really outstanding speaker, who expresses himself with elegance and clarity.

Followed Tom’s keynote, Alex will be joining a panel entitled Idiots’ Guide to the Semantic Web and Web 3.0. Alex’s has been traumatized by Idiot’s guides ever since he’s see: C++ for Dummies in the bookstore, but he is committed to navigate through this one.

Another keynote is by Aza Raskin, the Head of User Experience Labs at Mozilla. Aza has previously worked on Songza and now is championing Ubiquity - a language-based interface to the web. Aza writes a blog where he is openly discussing the evolution of Firefox and user interfaces at large.

Later in the day, Brad Burnham from Union Square Ventures, who is a Director at AdaptiveBlue, will be moderating a panel called Building 21st Century Businesses Around the New Graph Structure of Information.

We are also looking forward to seeing and hearing speak Bernarnd Lunn, Greg Boutin, Andraz Tori, Chris Saad,Jon Aizen and many others.

On Thursday, Karen and Alex will be also speaking on the panels. Karen will be moderating the Exploring Implications of Massive Computing Power in the Cloud panel, and Alex will be speaking on the Strategic Implications of the Mashup panel.

May 29: Fraser will be attending BEA Book Tweetup in New York

One of the biggest gathering of Book community on Twitter will take place in New York. AdaptiveBlue is happy to be sponsoring this great event. Fraser is cooking up some great surprises so if you are planning to attend - stay tuned. Also, if you are in publishing and work in New York, you should take this opportunity to connect with the passionate bookish tweeps.

June 14-18: Fraser, Mark and Alex will be attending Semantic Technology Conference in San Jose

semtech

AdaptiveBlue is happy to be a sponsor of this great event. The conference draws academics, technologists and business folks interested in Semantics. We are going to be showcasing the brand new Glue API! Come see us in the exhibit call and learn how you can start building applications that leverage Glue infrastructure and data.

Also, we will be speaking through the conference. On Tue, Alex will be speaking on the Web3-4-Web2 panel and on the Contextual Awareness panels. On Wed, Alex will be giving a talk about Glue and our Semantic Infrastructure and Fraser is going to be on the panel called Business Models and Market Opportunities for Semantic Start-Ups.

So as you can see we are going to have a fun couple of weeks coming up! If you are going to be around and want to connect with us - please let us know here or via Twitter.
