Andrew Abshere Discusses Glue Now and Tomorrow

I love community. More specifically, I love the community that is forming around Glue.

People like Steffan, MJ, Vada, Matthew (thanks for the wine!), Jeff, Ryan, and others have helped us shape our vision and refine product features. They’ve also become friends.

Selfishly I love interacting with such incredible people. In some cases we’ve grabbed beers or played Rock Band. I enjoy playing email ping-pong with these individuals, bouncing ideas and intelligent thoughts off of one another.

Andrew has quickly become a positive presence in my inbox. Andrew has written two awesome blog posts about Glue. After writing “5 Things I Love About Glue” he delivered the gem, “5 Things I Wish Glue Would Give Us For Christmas.”

Here are Andrew’s first four wishes:

  1. Ability to comment on a user’s 2cent comment
  2. Recommendations on new people to follow
  3. Location-aware information
  4. More text highlighting options

1, 2, and 4 are common requests from people on Glue (#4 is Alex’s personal favorite). We have a few ideas cooking for these in the Glue Labs. Do you want to see these suggestions integrated into Glue? Would you like to see anything else?

Andrew’s 5th wish is going to be harder to deliver, especially in a city like New York. But for someone like Andrew we’re going to try our hardest to make it happen :)
