Our friends Howard Lindzon (an AdaptiveBlue investor) and Soren Macbeth recently launched StockTwits. StockTwits is an “open, community-powered investment idea and information service” built on top of Twitter.
The service aggregates messages on Twitter about specific stocks and organizes them into a coherent conversation. I’ve had fun watching Howard and Soren execute on this beautiful idea.
I’m happy to announce that StockTwits has integrated AB Meta into their site and that Glue will now appear on StockTwits pages.
Now, when a Glue user visits StockTwits they will see the Twitter conversation for the particular stock and the Glue bar will appear to show friends who have interacted with that stock elsewhere on the web.
Think of Glue as a friend filter for StockTwits - you see what the community has to say, along with a view that shows just your friends.
Glue is a nice compliment to StockTwits’ new Firefox add-on. When viewing Twitter the StockTwits add-on makes marked-up symbols clickable and brings you to the relevant page on the site:
Once on that page Glue recognizes the specific stock and appears automatically to show you friends who have interacted with this same stock and what they thought.
If you’re interested in adding support for Glue to your page feel free to contact us at supportATadaptiveblueDOTcom.
